:: Chain Foundation Uganda :: Chain Foundation Uganda is a Christian founded organization with the vision of providing a conducive environment for God’s children to lead abundant life. The organization’s goal is to have a society in which the visually impaired and other vulnerable children like orphans, abandoned children have opportunities for growth and development through self-sustenance.
- The organization bases its mission and goals on the following objectives:
- Provide education to the visually impaired and other vulnerable children
- To educate families and communities on the rights of the children
- To influence government policies right from the lower local government levels in favour
of vulnerable groups
- To provide the community with integrated health education (CHE)
- To provide shelter to some of the visually impaired children
- To identify and develop talents of the visually impaired and other vulnerable children
- To encourage the community to take children for immunization of the six killer diseases
- To establish an immunization center at the orphanage, since failure to immunize
con tributes to visual impairment
- To reach out to the already identified 500 children (blind/ deaf)
- To provide /practical training to the visually impaired/vulnerable children
- To promote community awareness on the plight of visually impaired and vulnerable children by
use of both the print and electronic media.
- To develop a child sponsorship programme to cater for the children
- To establish a fully equipped and operational education center (school).
- To advocate for children’s rights, provision of basic needs, food, clothing, medical care,
and school fees.
